3 Basic Necessities of Life to Turn into Business – II

Everyone wants to be seen and heard through a particular means of communication which is a form of business progress. The current pandemic – COVID-19 has proved to the world that just one way is the solution to this.

Those who foresaw the current situation were able to quickly work out their modalities and invest their entire life into it.

This new and second basic necessity is technology. Not just technology, but communication technology.

According to learn.org, Communications technology, also known as information technology, refers to all equipment and programs that are used to process and communicate information.

Professionals in the communication technology field specialize in the development, installation, and service of these hardware and software systems.

Communication technology specialists design and maintain technical systems of communication, according to the needs of a specific business, industry or market.

You may think that this kind of business is limited to only those in the technology space, I beg to differ. I have met young people in other industries such as Victor Emaye; who, through his experience, used technology to transform the health sector. You might call him a health tech expert.

Communication technology is one big space that determines the future. There is what we call – Internet of Things – IoT. This is more about living in a smart world. I won’t be surprised if world tech leaders are already making huge plans to achieve this in the near future.

Why then should you begin to consider this necessity as a business? The pandemic is one proof to the world that tech is the way out if you want to remain relevant; or want your brand (product or service) to remain relevant in the market.

Let us take the example of the world-leading modern enterprise video communications, Zoom.

According to Wikipedia, Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (Zoom) was founded by Eric Yuan, a former Cisco Webex engineer and executive, founded Zoom in 2011, and launched its software in 2013.

Beginning in early 2020, Zoom’s software usage saw a significant global increase following the introduction of quarantine measures adopted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic or as commonly called the coronavirus.

This video comm software suddenly became the way out of stay at home order all over the world, providing video telephony; and online chat services through a cloud-based peer-to-peer software platform.

As at 20th of July, 2020, Zoom Stock price is at ZM (NASDAQ) US$268.58 +22.04 (+8.94%). Its Revenue is 622 million USD (2019), and its Number of employees is 2,532 (2020).

You might think you do not have what it takes to achieve this dream financially, but you do have all it takes to achieve more than this.

The idea you have is all you need to achieve all you desire. But the question is: Are you ready and willing to utilise it?

Another question you might want to consider is that if you do not start or utilise it now, what will be the fate of younger generations who depend on your idea for survival?

God, who gave you that idea, sure knows that you would need all resources to actualise it.

So, do you have that ‘thing’ for tech but you think no way? There is a way! Just do it.

I will complete the last stage of this article by next Monday which is our motivation Monday. Till then, keep moving, keep pressing forward and keep soaring.
